Quiet answers to the questions that arrive most often. For anything else, our atelier answers letters within a day.
Where are your products made?
Every Élise product is composed and bottled in our atelier in Grasse, the historic perfume capital of Provence. Botanicals are sourced from growers we have known by name, in most cases, for over a decade.
Are your products suitable for sensitive skin?
Our formulas are designed for all skin temperaments, with particular care given to reactive and easily-disturbed complexions. We avoid synthetic fragrance, alcohols, and known sensitisers. A patch test is always recommended.
Tell me about your refill program.
Our vessels are designed to be kept. After your first purchase, refills arrive in compostable apothecary pouches and cost 30% less than the original. We collect empties through our atelier — and replant a tree for every return.
What is your stance on testing and ethics?
No animal testing — anywhere, ever, by us or any partner we work with. We are Leaping Bunny certified, B-Corp accredited, and carbon-neutral as of 2023. The full audit is published openly on our atelier page.
Can I return a product if it isn't right for me?
Of course. We honour returns within 60 days, even on opened products. Skincare is intimate — we'd rather you keep searching than settle. Email the atelier and we'll arrange the return at our cost.
